Wonderfully informative for my wife and I as we navigate through the complex world of youth sports. We are not former athletes and this book provided us both with valuable information about strength and speed training, what to look for in a coach and how to differentiate between two "trainers" making similar claims ..... Was a quick read and related perfectly to our situation , as parents of 3 youth athletes ranging in age from 9 to 16.
This book was fantastic. JC explains all aspects of sports performance training in a way all parents can understand and learn from. It coverss how developing proper posture in an athlete is essential,how to increase a young athletes speed through strength, iproper nutrition and how injury prevention is attained through theese well monitored practices. This is a must read for parents of all serious young athletes.
